This is a pattern of laser vision surgery which can be used to cure hyperopia and astigmatism. It differs from LASIK, LASEK or other laser methods in that the cornea is shrunk other than reshaped.
As you might know that this treatment is not permanent. The eyes do change, particularly when we come to middle age and so farther surgery may be required.
This is a fast method which does not engage any chopping or exclusion of corneal tissue. It is mostly used to treat long-sightedness.
The Risks of LTK
- Temporary nearsightedness
- Light sensitivity
- Risk of evolving astigmatism
- Regression
What are the advantages of LTK?
These encompass the following:
- Little risk of infection
- Very fast procedure
- Little risk of vision loss
- Little discomfort or pain
You will find that you are practiced to come back to work, and your usual undertakings the very next day.

The author of http://www.laserlasikeyesurgery.com has written an excellent article. You have made your point and there is not much to argue about. It is like the following universal truth that you can not argue with: You’re never quite sure whether it’s against the law or not to have a fire in your back garden. Thanks for the info.
